Re: Balls to the wall....Angie's workout log

Yesterdays workout:
BS 3x3
95
115
145 (broken)

WOD:
row 750 m
21 thrusters (65#)
12 pullups
time: 7:00

rest 2 mins

row 500
15 thrusters
9 pullups
time: 6:00

3x 10 bench (45#)
did some floor sweepers and toes to rings

Todays workout:

5x5 press with empty oly bar

WOD:
5 squat cleans (75#)
12 pullups
24 double unders
AMRAP 10 mins: 3 rounds
.....rested a couple mins and then did 2 more rounds

60 walking lunges
100 situps

So annoyed....I bought 2.5 and 5lb plates, and they arrived yesterday....except the hole is too small to fit on the oly bar. Now I have 30 lbs of weights that I can't return and can't use! urgh! Guess I'll just go to one of the sporting goods stores around here and get some iron ones.

Re: Balls to the wall....Angie's workout log

Made it in to the garage this morning for a decent workout.

DL
5x 95
5x 115
3x 135
2x 155
1x 165
185...failed.....soooo close to getting this. Got it about 3 or 4 inches off the ground two times. urgh! Next week, I'm all over this!

WOD:
15 thrusters (65#)
50 situps
15 power cleans
50 walking lunges
15 power cleans
50 situps
15 thrusters
Time: 11:15.
The last time I did this wod was august 13th and it took me just under 20 minutes...what the hell was I doing for 8 extra minutes?! Nice to see I'm smokin through some wods that were tough for me a while ago, but I'm really ready to throw some more weight around and see some PRs!

Re: Balls to the wall....Angie's workout log

Felt pretty sore today....wondering if it has to do with running out of beta alanine? I'll have to look into it. bounced around this morning and did some strength work.

press 5x5 with empty bar
about 30 ring dips using 1 or 1.5 bands
30 ring push ups (on knees)
30 floor sweepers (65#)
5x5 BS (95#)
plank hold, 30 seconds center, rest... 30 sec right side, rest....30 sec left side, rest.....30 sec center.

quick jog with the pooch.

Took some measurements and everything stayed the same in comparison to last month, except I lost an inch on my hips/butt (yay) and 1/2-3/4 inch in my bust (boo). I guess I'll be careful what I wish for when I say I want to lose fat!

Re: Balls to the wall....Angie's workout log

Yesterday's WOD....it was a quickie:

9-7-5-3
C&J (75)
Pullups
time? Was working more on form, tried to string the pullups together, but could only do 4 at a time. ugh.

20 toes to rings
20 hanging leg raises

Today's workout:

Front squat:
45# x 10
75# x 5
95# x 5
95# x 5
115# x 6.... two at a time

WOD:

30 DUs
30 KBS (25#)
30 situps
4 rounds: 15:20

holy metcon...realized I've been working too much on strength. This had my lungs a burnin! All the KBS and situps were unbroken. The DUs were kinda ugly though.

cool down:
60 walking lunges
3 x 10 Bench with empty bar
3 x 10 floor sweepers with empty bar
20 figure 8s between legs with KB

Started taking beta alanine again yesterday. Soreness already feels better....not sure if it's the placebo affect or not. I think coconut water may help too, so I'm sippin on one of those. Will try for a rest day tomorrow and then head into the box this weekend to work on a few things I can't do at home....GHD, HSPU, man makers.....plus its easier to run there in a wod.

Re: Balls to the wall....Angie's workout log

Saturday 10/10/10:

DL 5x5
95
135
135
145
145
185 x 1...finally got a fricken PR! and a 20lb one at that. woot woot.

WOD:
I think it's called Mary...not sure though
1000m Row
50 thrusters (45#)
30 pullups

time: 14 something.....took 6 mins off my time from mid August. I look at this wod and think, "oh, that can't be that bad"......lungs were on fire during those damn thrusters! Pullups were like 3 at a time. argh...I've got a long ways to go on this one. Too much standing around trying to catch my breath.

Sunday: went into the box
3x5 FS
75, 95, 95
handstand work
tire flips

WOD:
"Michael"
800m run
50 back extensions
50 situps
3 rounds
time: 23:05
......went way too slow on the runs. I wasn't even that tired afterwards. Tried to do a few HSPU afterwards, but my core was shot.

Re: Balls to the wall....Angie's workout log

Wednesday 10/13....I'm slackin on posting these.

Wasn't feelin it this day. Got up and dressed to work out, then went back in the house and drank coffee and sat on the couch with the pup. Made it in after work for a half assed workout. Warmed up with back squats I think.

WOD:
20 DU's
10 thrusters (65#)
10 SDHP
20 burpees
10 cleans
2 rounds: 15:03
......suckfest. Wanted to do 3 rounds but didn't feel like it/didn't have time.

Made it into the box yesterday for a solid hour of a good beating

warm up:
row 250m
10 T2B
10 BJ
3 rnds

WOD:
4 thrusters
1 burpee
3 thrusters
2 burpees
2 thrusters
3 burpees
1 thruster
4 burpees
rest 3 mins, then do it again
used 75# for the first round...I've never done a 75# thruster, so I thought what the hell, lets try 80#. The first round took me 2:00 the second one took me 2:36

Taking today off, as I'm driving to New orleans after work for a continuing ed lecture all day saturday then driving home afterwards. Not excited for 10 hours of driving and 8 hours of sitting in class.

Re: Balls to the wall....Angie's workout log

Made it to Nola and back....don't think I screwed up my diet too much. Definitely did not eat enough though. Had a beer and a crabcake for lunch that was phenominal.

Took the pup into the box yesterday for a really stupid WOD:

10 squat cleans (75#)
20 GHD
8 squat cleans
20 GHD
6 squat cleans
20 GHD
4 squat cleans
20 GHD
2 squat cleans
20 GHD

time: 14:45

really didn't enjoy that one....a little rough on the back and hammies. GHDs are such an uncomfortable movement. I was going to throw some runs in there...glad I didn't drag it out any more than I already did.

Woke up an hour and 20 mins late this morning, so no workout today. crap.

Also took body comp pics and I look the exact same as I did 2 months ago..what the hell?! That was really frustrating....I'm seeing quite a few gains in the gym though, so I guess I can't complain too much. I know I'm stronger, so hopefully this muscle will start burning some fat. Makes me want to say f*@! it and eat one of the donuts thats on the counter in the office right now.
