Re: Balls to the wall....Angie's workout log

Don't do it! You'll feel like garbage after, and you've been doing so well! If you're going to have something off the diet, make it something worthwhile. Office doughnuts just...aren't.

Re: Balls to the wall....Angie's workout log

haha....very true Shannon, thanks! They were still warm though, but I didn't do it! My sweet tooth has been higher than normal from all the "paleo treats" I've been making at home.....trying out too many good recipes!

Had a crapfest of a workout today.....no idea why my energy completely bottomed out. During the WOD I yawned at least 3 times and sneezed 4.

DL:
95 x 10
115 x 3
135 x 3
145 x 3
155 x 3
165 x 1...blah

WOD: attempted "Elizabeth" and she whooped me
21-15-9
squat cleans (75)
ring dips (one skinny band)
only made it through 21, 15 and it took me like 16 minutes. I literally almost fell asleep on the mat I laid down on afterwards. One good side note: ring dips felt strong today!

3x 5 Bench press (55#)...this also sucked

still feeling "off" today.......not sure why I'm so tired. Slept 8 hours last night, and took a rest day yesterday. Eating a few more carbs today and will go to bed early. Hopefully tomorrow is better!

Re: Balls to the wall....Angie's workout log

Whoa....I've got some catching up to do. Worked out the 20th, but not at home right now, so I don't remember what the WOD was. the 21-24th I was in Michigan and only ran about 2 miles, did 30 pushups, 30 squats and 30 dips. Buuuuutttttt....I did manage to get a PR in dessert consumption! Cookies, boston cream pie, apple cider donuts, more cookies, applecrisp....all of it was homemade at least, but damn. I've felt like crap Monday, Tuesday and today, but forced myself to do a workout this morning:

Warm up:
shoulder press:
5 @ 45
5 @ 50
5 @ 50
3 @ 55 (PR)
1 @ 60 (PR)

Still sad PRs for SP, but I'll take it!

WOD:
5 Front squats (85#)
10 sit ups
15 DUs
AMRAP 15 mins: 6 rounds.
I was smoked after this WOD. Should have gotten another round in, but I quit with like a minute and 20 secs on the clock. Drilled myself in the shin pretty good with the bar and that wasted about 30 seconds of me whining and limping around.

cool down:
15 floor sweepers (65#)

Now I just need to get back on the wagon. Still feeling like crap....wondering if its a residual effect from all the junk I ate? Funny, because I felt fine all weekend....well, I was sleep deprived and hungover, but otherwise fine.

Re: Balls to the wall....Angie's workout log

Having a hard time getting back into the swing of things. Worked out 10/31:

Warm up: Back Squats.....felt terrible. didn't do very many

WOD:
100 DU's
90 walking lunges
80 situps
70 air squats
60 box jumps
50 KBS (25#)
40 push press (45#)
30 ring dips (one skinny band)
20 pullups
10 burpees
time: 31 something.

Worst wod ever.....still so sore 2 days later I can hardly walk up or down the stairs. Woke up the next day with a head cold and I'm feeling like 10lbs of **** in a 5lb bag. Think its gonna be another few days before I'll be working out again. ugh.

Re: Balls to the wall....Angie's workout log

Since my last post I've had a pretty rough sinus infection, and am on my second course of antibiotics. I've worked out 3 times in November so far, but I can hardly call it working out. I've ran a few times with the dog, did some air squats, kettlebell swings, situps, pullups, shoulder press, bench press and front squats. All were hideous and nothing I want to post here. haha

3 more days of antibiotics and then hopefully I'll feel back to normal!

Re: Balls to the wall....Angie's workout log

Slowly getting back on track. Ran some hill sprints yesterday with some pushups, kb swings, and kb twists. I'm starting a new strength program, so hopefully my numbers will start to increase.

This morning's WOD:

15 pullups
15 ring dips (1 skinny band)
Shoulder press (45#)
3x5
3x5
3x7

WOD: Jeremy
21-15-9
OHS (45#)
burpees
time: 11:30....last time I did this I got 9 mins. ugh. Felt like crap this morning.

Today marks day 1 of a 24 day ******** cleanse. No caffeine, sugar, alcohol, dairy, bread, grains. FOCK! I'm dragging a$$ right now. Never thought I was this addicted to my one cup of coffee a day!

Re: Balls to the wall....Angie's workout log

Man, I'm sucking at updating this lately. Did several WODs this week, the new strength program seems to be going well so far. Diet is also going well....I'm feeling pretty good during the day, but still so wiped out when working out.

Took yesterday as a rest day. Wednesdays wod:

warm up: jog with the pup

DL: 115x 3
130 x 3
150 x 3

WOD:
10 thrusters (45#)
10 pushups
5 rounds
....planned on doing 10 rounds, but I was exhausted. Time: 8 something

20 toes to rings
20 floor sweepers (45#)
20 situps
3 rounds, not for time

hoping to work out after work today....we'll see if that happens!

Yesterday's workout:

Back Squat:

WOD:
50 DU's
then 3 rounds

50 DU's

time: 18:30....felt really winded and weak today. Started with 55# and had no control.
