It converts to kg's easier.

1 pood = 16 kg
1.5 pood = 24 kg
2 pood = 32 kg

John,
When you get ready to go down the kettlebell purchase route, have a look at previous threads on this topic. For what it's worth, I have a 24kg from RKC, a 16kg and 20kg from Ader, and a pair of 12kgs from powermax. Overall, Ader is the best for the money, service, and quality. The handle on the powermax is thick and too rough - makes snatches/cleans tougher.

Lisa at kettlebellsinc (Ader) was awesome in helping me with my order. I would definitely recommend them, and will probably go back and replace my 12s with the Ader version. There is that much of a difference.

Not sure if there National, but check Play-It-Again Sports for their line of Appolo kb's. They are the best kb's I have found (we have ader, powemax,dd as well)The prices do range depending on how knowledgeable the staff is about kb's. I have seen anywhere from .89 cents a pound to $1.50 per pound. Hope this helps

I have both the DD and Ader KB's. I like them both equally, and both brands are well made, though the DD's handle seems to be a little thicker.Ader's are cheaper.

My local Play It Again Sports (in Orem, Utah)just started carrying the Apollos. I bought two 20kg and two 4kg for the kids. They were still in bubble wrap and had to be entered into the computer first, but... I paid $50 each for the 20s and $10 each for the 4s.

They have rubber attached to the bottom with a screw/bolt and cement. The rubber is a nice touch, since I can use them inside on the Pergo floor too.

They also had 16s, and the guy said they were getting 8s and 12s as well. I didn't ask about heavier ones, since I have a pair of kettlestack handles too.

I can post pictures if anyone's interested.

Greg
