CFE and long distance runs
I'm pretty new to CFE (and CF for that mater) so this might be a dumb question. I'm training for a marathon, and I don't want to deviate from my training schedule too much. Is it a bad idea to do CFE thrice a week, and my long runs on the off days? Resting on Sunday. I feel like it could be over training, but I really don't know.

I would stick to your training for now and switch to CF+CFE for the next one. And thrice? Really? Are you an English lit major? |

"No, but I am a nerd."
You'll fit in well here then. Probably the geekiest group of fit people gathered in one place. Or the fittest group of geeks. Hard to tell sometimes. |

Doing running 5-6x/week in addition to CF is a sure-fire recipe for overtraining. Especially if you're putting a lot of volume in. |

Mike, what I'm gently working into my own programming is CFE 2x per week, plus a long run 1x per week, in addition to regular Olympic lifting, swimming, cals, etc. So I would say you could be fine, if you feel overtrained just do CFE 2x per week plus long run. |
