i am in the process of switching over from a paleo/warrior diet style of eating to the zone. I'm shooting for 18 blocks. Bear in mind this is a transition phase and convienent for the moment. I know the food choices aren't the greatest but it's what is easiest for now.
Breakfast: 1 cup oatmeal with cinnamon,
1 plum (5 blocks carbs)
35 grams of protein powder mixed in
water (5 blocks PN)
5 macademia nuts (5 blocks fat)
Lunch: 2 tortillas (flour)
1 cup applesauce (4 blocks carbs)
4 oz deli turkey (4 blocks PN)
4 macademia nuts (4 blocks fat)
Snack: Zone Perfect Bar (2 block snack)
Supper: this is the one meal I will vary from day to day but it will be 5 blocks.
Late night snack: 500ml of 1% milk (2PN/2 carbs)
2 macademia nuts (2 blocks fat)
If you guys/gals wouldn't mind taking a look at that and letting me know if I'm on the right track that would be great. Eventually I plan on going paleo and throwing in some IF, but for now I just want to get the basics of The Zone down and see how the results are. One specific question I have is for breakfast should I be adding supplimental fat where my protein contains no fat at all??
