I'm standing up, and I lift my right knee and bring it up towards my chest. I then lower the knee and put my foot back on the ground. On the way down, I feel a single 'pop' in my pelvis where my right leg connects.

Is this a tracking issue, and if so, how can I fix it?

Thanks

Adam,

There was a discussion on this topic a couple of months back.

Trying to think of keywords. I think someboday mentioned the psoas muscle. You might try searching for psoas, that shouldn't come up too often, I would think.

I used to get the popping in my hips when I did situps or leg lifts, which is why I recall the post. They stopped popping after I started doing some of the workouts listed in the book Postural Alignment, which was recommended to me by Coach Rutherford.

Also search for 'snapping hip' could be the IT band sliding over the trochanter or if it's the inside it might be the iliopsoas tendon catching
