Consider this a back-dated post. I have some catching up to do. Here's some old stats and then I'll add on some workout logs.

Weight: 209lbs
Body Fat: 37.2
Mile Pace @ 13m55s

Current
Weight: 168lbs
Body Fat: ~31, I haven't actually checked for a while
Mile Pace @ 9m24s - I should recheck that too

Bicep-R: 12.5 (but you can SEE the muscles now, ha)

So that's my year a nutshell. I think a large portion of it was wasted with LA fitness and ****ty training. My progress really picked up when I wound up working with a trainer who was a Crossfitgeneration-er and we started doing scaled WOD's. Then I joined Crossfit myself. Tadaa!

my numbers were 98-70-66 and a total of 234

Dec 3
3 rounds: 5 KB snatches, 10 KB push press, 15 KB ohs (?) 20 KB swings (each arm)
Time: 11:42

Dec 6
5 rounds: (18lbs) 2 TGU each arm, 20 box jumps, 1 min plank
Time: 26:04
** btw I remember this WOD and I had determined to leave after the 2nd round. I really hated it. I only stayed because of the cheerleading from everyone. Gotta love peer pressure

Dec 7
7 rounds - 7 strict push presses - 7 burpees (18# KB)
Time: 8:19

Dec 12
3 rounds: 10 single arm KB clean + press, 20 single leg deadlifts, 40 lunges (20# KB)

2.6 miles - 29 minutes
This was the first time I've ran since starting crossfit in November. It was easy. I didn't push myself, but I did try to pose run and I think I almost made it to 1.5 miles that way and then my ankles were hurting so I switched to my old style.

50 burpees - 3:52

Food: everythings organic and I cook with olive oil if I need to use a non-stick agent

B/fast: 2 eggs w/black pepper, 2 slices bacon, 4 pieces brussel sprouts, mint green tea
snack: 6 brussel sprouts, mint green tea
I got super carb cravings so I had 2 more slices of bacon about an hour before dinner
Dinner: Boneless chicken breast w/garlic and white pepper, brussel sprouts, 1/2 a baked sweet potato with nutmeg and black coffee + tea

This is my first day doing what I think is a good Paleo diet, with maybe too few carbs and too much fat, and I'm really having carb tantrums. I think I'm gonna get some coconut milk and some kind of fruit and eat it a few hours before bed.

Feelin gross today. Not sleeping well. I hadn't really eaten before the workout, besides a few nibbles of grilled chicken at noon and a lot of water/coconut water throughout the day. SO needless to say I did not do well on the metcon.

Total diet today consisted of a mouthful of grilled chicken, 5 glasses water, 2 bottles coconut water, some fresh squeezed OJ, a really small plain salad (few beets, cabbage, lettuce, tomatoes, cilantro) and a piece of beef jerkey when I realized I hadn't had any protein.

Yuck.

AMRAP 30 min: 2 turkish getups (each side), 4 pullups, 8 pushups

4 rounds + 9 pullups for funsies with the average + slightly less average blue band. Also I used a 30# KB for getups. Hurt my left wrist a bit.

Food: none :/ Hurt my tooth and couldn't chew or tolerate temperature changes besides some absolutely necessary water.

I had 2 dental procedures today on this tooth, the 2nd being a root canal and as of 9:22pm I am starving and determined to eat something. Hello steamed to death veggies and some super tenderized beef!

Ya Daniel, lesson learned Those box jumps SUCKED. I'm really not one to not eat either. It's been a weird 2 days.

So Jan 1st I started a very strict "Paleo" diet and I've given up some major faves, mainly diet soda and dairy. Should I take a before/after pic? Do people do that?

Personally I'm not that into taking pics of myself but if it would motivate anyone else I'm down to do it and post.

Maybe I could take them down in the stretching room of the 12th st gym where this one defective mirror totally makes me look like a hot babe. Yeah, I'm serious. Just call me Brandi Kardashian...
