Crossfit reflections

I've been trying to crossfit for the last 12 months and have been pleased with the results. As I look back over the past year I've found that coss fittin' out of my garage has worked out better than any gym membership. The number one benefit is the relatively short workouts that I can fit in to a busy schedule of work, school, and taking care of two active children (ages 6&4).

Another benefit is the porability/flexibility of the workouts. Often times I can mix a workout in with a trip to the playpark with the kids. Squats, pullups, rows, lunges can all be done while the kids swing and slide.

I guess my point to newcomers is that you need to follow the program but have fun and fit it into your daily routines. If you can do that then it will become part of your lifestyle and you'll be doing it for years to come.

Re: Crossfit reflections

I agree, the mixture of fun and pain has kept me coming back for more.

1 year down, hopefully many many more to go!
