Wondering of those of you who own this text, do you reccomend it? I am not planning on doing the NSCA cert but am just wondering about solid sources of informaton to have on hand.

If you do not reccomend it can you reccomend a better single source of information for strength and conditioning(besides this site and its' search function)?

Thanks

I think it's a pretty solid text. It may not cover the more exotic exercises (at all), but it covers the basics of exercise physiology and training for sports. I'll dig mine out every year or so to look at something.

I think Ken's right, pretty solid. If you're going to get one, go to

http://www.alibris.com/search/search.cfm/

They've got them for $5-10.

I've got the book. I don't refer to it much anymore, but it's a nice, basic resource. If you can use Tony's link and get one for $5-10 I'd snatch one up. Unfortunately, I paid full price for mine.
