I want to get a rower that I can fold up and put into my closet.
I don't really feel like dropping $850+tax+shipping on a C2 rower, when there are others out there at half the price. I want the kind that has the cable and not the arms.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Spend the money on the C2 and you won't want to put it into your closet. Instead you'll want to make it a focal point in your living room. LOL

Seriously, I don't know of any rower that will compare to the C2. I have tired a number of them and much prefer what it has to offer.

Why don't you hold off on your purchase until after the next CF Live show which will be about rowing.

You would think C2 could cut CFrs a huss(20% maybe). They don't have many rowers show up on craigslist in MN. Slim pickins on ebay too. I can't bring myself to selling the firstborn for a C2. I kind of like the little guy.

I just got my C2 and love it! If everything I've heard about it's dependability is only half true, it's worth the money.

That said, I don't know much about any of the other brands out there...

Good luck.

Suppose you visit the US, buy a rower and ship it home to yourself. Do you have to pay customs or duty?

If I ever travel to Australia, should I bring a 1/2 a dozen rowers with me for my own personal use to help cover travel expenses?

hmmm, $450 is a little more palatable. It's just tough right now, because I am already about to spend about $6K on a plasma and furniture for the condo I'm moving into.

What is the difference between the C and the D models?

So would I be right in drawing the conclusion that the C2 is superior because of its durability rather than it has more features than competitive models?

With a little more information this one gets really easy. Buy the rower now and just wait 4 months to buy the TV - by then the price will have come down by at least the cost of a rower. What's more important anyway: your fitness or your ability to watch Desparate Housewives in HD?
