Thanks for developing that thought-line Rene...I meant to imply that as a given but forgot.

I think it's fairly common for some of our most astute CFers to include similar such exercises at the end of their workouts ain't it?

I definitely see the case for occasionally supplementing your workout with some arm work at the end so you don't hinder your performance in regards to the primary exercises you are working.

Not to get too far off course, at the gym I can't help but notice this gentleman, who for now I'll just call 'super-buff-disproportionately-large-upper-body-with-tiny-legs-guy'
...he's always huffing and puffing in the power rack, pyramiding from 95 lbs curls down to 15 lbs curls with a curl bar he has waiting on the floor...now, I'm no super athlete, hell I'm not even a mediocre athlete yet, but I can't see the purpose behind this much time devoted to curls, especially when they are aided, inevitably, by a very short ROM and a violent backward thrust...just an observation...like I said I'll throw in some DB curls at the end of the WOD, but he just does an insane amount of curls.

I perfer to shout out "CHICKS" with each arm rep instead of grunting. I to train arms, but only after lifting my other larger groups. I also pair up tri's with chest, and bi's with back as I use them already with the main movements.

John, I followed that link but it didn't work, so I went to the e-bicep site and found this work/family safe link about the guy with the world's biggest biceps:http://www.ebicep.com/world-biggest-biceps.html

The best part of the whole page is the opening sentence "Obviously to get the world's biggest biceps Greg has been using alot of steriods." :biglaugh:. That boy just ain't right in the head. Oh yeah, he's the same guy who was plastered all over the net/news a few years ago after being arrested.
