Karl

Is the next Painstorm definitely scheduled for the 3rd July?

I need to get some arrangements sorted out and if it is that weekend then we should both be able to make it down to the smoke.

cheers
mark

It will be the first weekend of July so yeah come on down by all means! I would offer you the house to stay over mate, but the Scottish contingent have first dibs!

It will be awesome to have you both down!

so how many crossfit `clubs` do we have in the UK now and where are you all?

I have been planning to set up a gym for a couple of years now and am finally setting my wheels in motion so any help, advice, do's and dont do's would be great!

Hey Karl - what did you think of the premier diploma - i did it too a few years back?

I would look to be setting up in the epsom area in surrey.

Cheers all

Hey guys.
I'm in Yorkshire, Doncaster to be exact - been on the CrossFit bus for about 3-4 months now. Anyone else based up here?

Sorry for the delay Richard!

Not sure how many little 'clubs' we have on the island if i'm honest. I know of at least 3 or 4 groups that meet up and train in CrossFit style across the land. Lots of individuals too!

The Premeir diploma was ok i guess, but i have a little problem with a qual. that teaches you the ins and out of how to teach the bloody leg extension, but doesn't even mention cleans, snatch etc. or even how to perform correct press ups, pullups etc. Just my opinion though....the rest does the job. Good set up for getting into the industry.

Rory,

Hello matey, good to see another Brit onboard. A lot of family are based in Sheffield, want me to drop you a line when i'm next up and we can rock a WOD if you want??

Don't forget all, PainStorm X is just around the corner...check out the 'Competitions' thread for details. We got Brits, Brand X and others jumping onboard....give it a crack and let us know how you did!?

Cheers,

Karl

Finally, i've got the break I need to put the work into setting up a CrossFit gym. If any of the UK gym owners could help me out with a few questions I'd be very grateful.

1. What insurance do you carry and could you point me towards an insurer?

2. Who are your equipment suppliers?

Thanks guys
