I think it's funny too . I used to love those things when I was growing up and had quite the collection, my dad was in the Army and my mom is German.. I spent a lot of time on airplanes.

Sadly, I don't think they give them out anymore. My kids have never been given one and they have flown quite a bit too.

John, I see in Mr. Ricketts' profile here that he is an AME. Knowing this, I can assure you that he is more than qualified to "train you up" on the ways of the fleet whilst in Fallon.

Mr. Ricketts, these young Ensigns/JG's need an education that only you can offer, because it sure as hell sounds like they aren't getting it in flight school, anymore.

I'm in week two of ground school for intermediate tailhook (systems exam this morning, first EP test tomorrow). I had plenty of training in college (not a boat school guy) but have had little opportunity to put it into practice during this whole flight school thing--except during the down time between phases.

A baller cat... I guess you could read it as "awesome" cat, but that doesn't quite cover it. I will try to think of a better explanation, and when I have time I will post some pictures of him. In the meantime, I should probably be studying EPs instead of reading and posting all over the boards!
