Re: Danielle's Dungeon

Hope you're having a great New Year! Did you get in a WOD?

I did today! I had company through last night, so I didn't get a chance to work out.

First workout of the new year -

WOD: Fight Gone Bad for a Good New Year
SUB for Wall Ball = 45# Thruster: 17 - 12 - 10
Sumo DL High Pull, 45#: 15 - 12 - 12
SUB for box jump = tuck jump: 15 - 13 - 14
Push Press, 45#: 12 - 11 - 11
Row (cal) = 19 - 17 - 16

Total: 206

I am now inspired to invest in (or make) a wall ball. I <3 Wall Ball shots, I don't <3 thrusters!!

That is how you start off the year!!! I hate wall ball, you are crazy!! We got a med. ball and it ripped, so we filled it with kitty litter and wrapped tape arround it to be the proper weight. It is the ball in my avitar.

Re: Danielle's Dungeon

Agreed. 200+ is an excellent start to 2009. Thrusters and wallball are almost the same. However, sometimes it's harder to transfer the hip power to whatever you use for the thruster. Once you figure that out, there's not much difference.

Re: Danielle's Dungeon

Thanks, guys! I appreciate any hints or tips.

I'm a few days behind, but oh well...
WOD: Mini-Murph
For time:
Run 1 mile
50 Pull-Ups
100 Push-Ups
150 Squats
Run 1 mile

Time: 35:01

I decided to do half of the Pull-Ups, Push-Ups, and Squats only because I am going dancing tonight and I didn't want to ruin my legs

Re: Danielle's Dungeon

WOD: Virtual shoveling and pull-ups
For time, rounds of 30, 25, 20, 15, 10, 5. Used barbell only and did jumping PUs.
Time: 15 min 50 sec

It's time's like these when I am thankful to have my own home gym! Virtual shoveling just looks silly
