The Kettlebell King Issue

Has anyone placed or received an order from the KB king recently? I placed an order on October 9 and was quoted by Bert that my purchase should ship on the 22nd or 25th (I would receive a shipment email). It is now the 2nd and I've yet to receive any emails. In addition, I've sent several emails to Bert asking for an update, all of which have gone unanswered. I'm beginning to worry.
Thanks.

I've gotten several things from them but they have local distribution here.

I placed an order 11 days ago for bumpers and they arrived today on time.

Could be email firewall issues? I'd use the phone.

Re: The Kettlebell King Issue

We contacted the company directly today and were notified that our order has just shipped from Houston. Supposedly they're building a new warehouse and things are getting delayed.

As far as a firewall issue, I've emailed him from three separate accounts on three different days and haven't gotten a response. Note that Bert was very prompt in responding on several occasions when I was first inquiring about placing an order.

Anyway, hopefully my order will arrive in one piece. The last thing i want is to have to deal with a broken KB or damaged barbell. (I ordered a set of KBs, Bumpers and barbell). How was the packaging/shipping for others who've received orders?

I plan on reviewing my order when I receive it.

Re: The Kettlebell King Issue

A few things:

1) I know for a fact that they're moving warehouses in Houston.
2) Bert just had a kid. I can't say if that was the cause for the delay, but it very well might have something to do with it.
3) Pack/ship on my orders from TKBK have been fine. I'd expect yours to be as well.

Cheers,

Mark

Re: The Kettlebell King Issue

I also had to wait for awhile to receive my bumpers, plate rack and bar. I waited a few weeks which was tough since I don't have much patience and we usually receive motor freight in a day from Houston. Bert informed that this was due to his newborn child and warehouse issues. When I ordered kettlebells from him they were shipped on time and when I had an issue with a misshaped kettlebell he shipped out a replacement pretty quickly. Overall I'm satisfied with his service and I don't think you can beat the price. Just my .02 cents.

Re: The Kettlebell King Issue

On OCT 8 I placed an order for a friend and I.

2 x studbars
3 kettlebells
2 x45lbs bumper
2 x10lbs bumper
1 x Abmat

The Abmat showed up in about a week
Emails sent on the 20th and 26th haven't been answered
The studbars showed up the 27th.

Still waiting on the kettlebells and bumpers. Calling is difficult because I work night shift on the westcoast but when I did call I was told that their computer system was down.

I can understand that things slow down with moving into a new warehouse and having a child, but not being prompt in your communications with customers that spent $500+ isn't something to build a business on. It's email, have they seriously not checked it in 2 weeks?

I probably won't be ordering from them again.

Prior to this order I had their bumpers, barbell and kettlebells and found that they were all of great quality and packaged just fine.
