Filing a "complaint" with the BBB will do nothing. As long as the company responds to the complaint, even if it is to say FU to the customer, the BBB considers the "complaint" to be resolved.

Re: The Kettlebell King Issue

I'm a bargain shopper so I tend to buy used or make my own stuff for my affiliate. These guys are in my town and they really do have great prices compared to other places. Pretty sure they're the cheapest when it comes to KBs. Of course it's better if you can just drive in and pick something up. I think all the CF suppliers are probably swamped right now due to all the new affiliates. I'd give them a call.

Re: The Kettlebell King Issue

We've had a number of calls on this at FringeSport, so I wanted to give a post with our advice.

First, we have no relationship with Kettlebell King, but we have a large number of his (ex-)customers.

It appears that the Kettlebell King has gone out of business, and has done so while he owed thousands of dollars in gear to CrossFitters(!). Here is what we are advising the people who call us for advice.
  1. Dispute the transaction with your credit card company. This is as easy as calling the phone number on the back of your credit card.
  2. Keep calling/emailing Bert (the owner). Maybe he will eventually give you some satisfaction.
  3. If the amount owed is small, you may just want to try and forget about it, or if the amount is large and you cannot get satisfaction from a credit card company, consider suing in small claims court.

Beyond that, there are not a ton of remedies available.

And to reiterate again, FringeSport has no relationship with The Kettlebell King.
