when do you work on your weak spots?

when do you work on say...HSPUs, snatch, clean jerk, etc. do you do practice before the workout as like a warm up? or after the workout or on rest days?

Re: when do you work on your weak spots?

If its a skill (Oly lifts, handstands, etc), work on it before the WOD. If its a strength-type movement (HSPU), your choice. I usually add weaknesses into the CFWU as long as it isn't something included in the WOD.

Re: when do you work on your weak spots?

I try to add the 'technical' moves into the warm up. Right now I'm alternating between Oly lifts {bergner warm up and dowel work} and body weight {HSPU, pullups, etc}. Makes for a nice long warm up...

Re: when do you work on your weak spots?

I'm kinda like David. I'll do 2-3 rounds of 15 rep. CFWUs, and/or 2-3 rounds of 5 rep Burgener WUs, followed by some skill work, which often transitions into the real WOD. If I'm really fast the WU takes 20 minutes, but it's often more like 45. Then hit the WOD real hard, stretch, shower.

Before the workout, in general. You can do skill work on rest days as long as you don't push it too hard.

I thought I responded here, but I guess not...I think you can work on weaknesses whenever doesn't matter what it is.

It's why we have PVC...you don't have to go heavy to work on your OLY Lifts.

Re: when do you work on your weak spots?

Or you can run cycles of training:

Oly lifting, SS, CF, repeat. As you get accustomed you can start blending 2 out of 3 together.
