Re: Nutrition for CFSB

Take a look at this block chart (wfs). See how foods are broken into favorable, moderately favorable and unfavorable? The general rule is that it's OK to go over favorable carbs, but if you're eating unfavorable ones, then you should be very particular about measuring them. See how most of the favorable carbs are either bulky (broccoli, chard, etc.) or both nutritious, and filling (beans).

This Journal article (wfs) explains it all really well.

As of now, I'm tryin to cut some body fat off me and get a bit leaner. Because I too love to eat. Will the Paleo diet get me leaner as long as I'm taking in the right food? Because its hard for me to grasp that, as long as your eating chicken(for example), you can eat as much as you want, you'll get lean?
In a nutshell, yes, Paleo diet should lean you out. It is less restrictive than zone, but keep in mind the basic pricinples of diet, carbs, protein and fat and incorporate them into your diet (with paleo food) at a even ratio, or maybe a little heavy with fat for energy. 3 meals a day, a snack here and there, eat til your satisfied, not stuffed. Workout hard and I guarantee you lean out and feel better than you ever have before.

Re: Nutrition for CFSB

Hey Renee,

I'm veggie, so I always have tofu in the fridge. I know it's weird to put it in my oatmeal. I have to add 1 block of protein to my oatmeal to get to 5 blocks. (1 cup milk + 1 scoop whey powder + 1 chunk tofu). Sometimes I'll have cheese instead.
