Morning Shake

I've been doing morning shakes for a while because they're easy and quick, and I am a lazy mother in the morning. Just thought this would be a good place to share some recipes!

Regular

1 cup of orange juice or milk
3/4 to 1 cup of berries
1/4 cup yogurt
1/4 cup oats
2 scoops whey (chocolate)

Peaches n' Cream

1 Cup milk
1/2 cup oats
3/4 cup of peaches
2 scoops whey

This latest one i've been making becaus eI ran out of whey, not the best tasting, but:

1 Cup whole milk
1/3 cup of yogurt
1/2 cup oats
1 Cup Berries
2 eggs

Re: Morning Shake

I make shakes all the time. I always use this base receipe:

1 Cup Juice - Any Flavor
1 Cup Yogurt - Any Flavor
1 Serving Fruit - Any Flavor
1 Scoop Protein Powder - Any Flavor
Ice

Couple favorites:
Acai Fit Shake (Stole idea from Robecks)
Juice = Apple
Yogurt = Vanilla
Fruit = Acai Puree
Protein Powder = Unflavored

Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Juice = Apple or Orange
Yogurt = Strawberry
Fruit = Strawberry
Protein Powder = Chocolate

Re: Morning Shake

I also had a question that I just remembered: any danger to eating uncooked oats? I haven't seen anything, but just thought I'd put it out there. Thanks.

It is my understanding that soaking breaks down the phytic acid in oats.
