Once upon a time, one part of my job was to serve as the administrator for the internal Lotus Notes database that our tech support organization used.

We had various acronyms that we used to indicate the status of the different support issues that were escalated from Level 1 up to Level 2 tech support.

And devious little me got to determine what the acronyms were....

So, I can recall that we had at least:

New FirmWare ----> NFW (aka No Fing Way)
BIOS Fix in Development -----> BFD (Big Fing Deal)
Fix Underway -----> FU (obvious)

And those were the ones that I got away with. I think I also tried a few more blatant ones that got shot down (as if FU isn't already pretty blatant).

Thankfully, it was an internal database, so customers never saw the acronyms.
