Decent pricing for rubber floor mats?

I saw this ad on Craigslist. Was wondering if their pricing is less than everyone's, like they advertise.

List Price $119.00, SALE PRICE $84.-.(We beat any price by 3%). Rubber Weight Floor Mat 4' X 6' X 3/4". FREE SHIPPING if ordered by 6-11-09. Call to order 508-243-9954, (www.fitstore.com), About 100 Lbs each, color Black, easy to cut. Great for Home Gyms, Schools, Corp. Fitness centers, Health Clubs, etc.

They're in Raynham MA for anyone else who is interested....

Thanks again everyone, you're the best!

Dennis

Re: Decent pricing for rubber floor mats?

Should be about $40 from any feed and tack store.

Re: Decent pricing for rubber floor mats?

It might be an okay price if you do not have any horse supply stores with the free shipping... Try searching google or yellowpages for the horse equestrian feed/supply stores.. I bought my mats for $45

Re: Decent pricing for rubber floor mats?

Thanks guys.

I did a bit of searching. I don't think there are many of those types of stores around my area... I'm in the Boston area = not many horse farms.

I found this site http://www.greatmats.com/products/po...stall-mats.php (WFS) I think these are the size most people are buying... the 2x2, 3/4 inch thick. (please correct me if I'm wrong).

I was just wondering how many of these sheets I should order, and what a reasonable price for shipping would be. (Just out of curiosity I put 10 mats ($100 worth) and the shipping came out to around $25... so $125 for ten 2x2 mats? Does this sound right?)

Thanks again for your help.... I've never even paid attention to this type of thing before.

Re: Decent pricing for rubber floor mats?

You have a TON of horse farms in the Boston suburbs, which means lots of feed and tack stores. We bought ours in RI for $37 each with free delivery. Look around a little and you'll save yourself quite a bit of money.

Oh really? Google Maps seems to disagree:

Re: Decent pricing for rubber floor mats?

I stand corrected.

Either way, I like the pricing of that website I posted. $9.58 per mat. Seems like a pretty decent deal.

Dan and Derek, are the 2x2 3/4 inch thickness the correct size? When you said you bought yours for $37 each you didn't specifiy the size of your mats, so it was a bit obscure.

At $10 per mat, plus $25 shipping, the cost would come out to $125 for 10 mats= $12.50 each.

Re: Decent pricing for rubber floor mats?

The standard stall mats from places like Tractor Supply are 4x6.

Horse stall mats are 4'x6'x3/4". There are lots and lots of threads here on them. 24 sq feet for $40 or 4 sq feet for $12.50. Personally I would rather pay $1.66 per sq ft versus $3.12 per sq ft. But it's your money.
