I'm 17, strength programming?

So I am 17 and have been Crossfitting for a little under a year and a half. I have seen huge improvements. Last year in he open I was 800 something in my region, with numbers on the those workouts from recently, I would have placed top 300 at least. I often have one of the top times in my gym for almost every workout, the one thing that is holding me back is strength. There are so many different programs to go with.. I just don't know what would get me the best results with 3 months befor the open.
Current PR's
Clean-215
Clean/jerk-205
Overhead squat-185
Deadlift-405
Snatch-165
Back squat-305
Front squat-275

I have looked at several different options, such as Lift big eat big, the Outlaw way, the juggernaut method, etc. Is there one of those programs or another one that you would recommend?

In the short term you could likely easily integrate CrossFitFootball's SWOD's in your current programming, just be sure to eat enough.

I am a fan of madcow 5x5. I used it for a fair amount of time and gained good weight as well as got stronger. It is simple and effective. 3 lifts a day 3 days a week.

Grayskull and 5x5 would be great for you, but if you really want to focus on the open you'll need to keep the conditioning up. Outlaw would be idea if you can handle the volume and skill stuff. CFFB would be a good choice too: a little less conditioning but a lot less time dedication. Then you could consider a dedicated strength program after the open.

OR

since you are only 17 don't worry about the open this year, just get built and on your way to true firebreather status next year. Your choice. Plenty of time for whatever.

David could well be right. You may wish to consider passing this year and beasting it out all year and unveil yourself, retooled.

Re: I'm 17, strength programming?

Thanks for the input everyone! I totally agree about the open this year as an individual. The only reason I am looking to make strength gains for the open is because my box has a good shot at qualifying a team for regionals. We have at least 3 individual athletes that have a strong chance at going back this year and with their scores and some stronger female scores, our team should be there this year. This would put me in regionals on the team and I know things will be heavy there.
