Couple of Questions????

Hey, I have been doing crossfit for a couple of months now but have really gotten serious lately and have been reading a ton or articles and message board.

I search for the answer but never can quite find the exact answer on the message board.

1) Is the black box just and experimentation that you set up and monitor the results? Or is it a set program?

2) Would SS be beneficial for me because I am already pretty strong?
420 deadlift
335 Bench
365 Back Squat etc.

3) I am looking for overall fitness not really training for the UFC or firefighting, etc. I usually do the WOD at 110% then through in some maybe heavy squats if haven’t done them lately or a little technique work. Is this good or should I add more.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks alot

Bill

Re: Couple of Questions????

SS is probably going to be useless at this point. Just CrossFit, you're already very strong, so I wouldn't worry about that part. Maybe throw in some heavy squats from time to time like you said you did to prevent your numbers from going down.

Sounds like you're doing good, so just keep it up.

If your boss sees you explain to him what crossfit is and he will run away very quickly - or he might sign on up! who knows...

Watch out behind you! no just kidding..

Keep up the good work man.. keep pushing..

And black box is a experimental thing - Basically do something like i will only eat eggs for every meal for 2 weeks.. I will track my results and progress. If it is successful then i learned something if not I also learned something. The point is to try things and see what happens without knowing why its working. I know this explanation sucked by I did my best.
