So ...

Any other CrossFitters planning to lose sleep tonight and spend tomorrow with their noses in a new book?

An HP memorial WOD might well be in order - something with a lot of jumping and broomsticks in it, I suppose ...

Most die (no really the majority). There are about a million spoiler posts all over the web which has made Rowling pretty upset but what do you expect, she said people would die in the last book. That book got sadly ruined.

I am a fan (one of my guilty pleasures) and will be picking it up tonight or tommorrow... I have been able to avoid spoilers and should be able to until I finish.

Uh, George? I was working danged hard at avoiding those spoilers. And quite successfully, until about 30 seconds ago.

Seriously, just because other people want to do damage, did you have to?

I didn't spoil much. There are spoilers on the web that produce each page number of a death and give you the whole story, including a glimpse of the future. I was just repeating what Rowling herself said.

(w/f safe): http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/13558242/

I won't be a spoiler in the future. Sorry.

:sorry:

BIG BIG BIG SPOILER WARNING.
ONLY CLICK THIS IF YOU DO NOT CARE TO READ THE BOOK, AND YOU JUST WANT TO KNOW IF ANYONE DIES.

(Safe, unless a serious Harry Potter fan is nearby.)

If you clicked it, note the day that the video was posted.

Umm... if I were a famous author, in todays age I would do the same. That is to say, I would insinuate an ending. I would then "leak" a few false endings on the web. People will be so confused as to which is real, they will be compelled (forced) to buy the book.

There is always a way to iTunes your way in todays age. (That is.. take something that everyone is doing anyways, like downloading music, and turn a profit).

Re: Richard
No, the book really was leaked to the public on July 15th, you just had to know where to look for it. If you really knew where to look, there was a leak of the leak on July 10th. (It's the internet. What do you expect?) Someone took photographs of every single page, and collected them into one WinRAR file; it's for real. Did you really expect no one in the world would get it early?

Richard, read the book and then watch the YouTube.

Patrick,

Thanks, and I kinda figured that it was real. I was merely making light of the exploits of the internet. Perhaps I should have said, it could have been beneficial for the author to have exploited the uses of the internet.

Personally, I don't intend to read the book, but I do enjoy the movies. I will, however, check out the YouTube anyways.

Bizarre.

Since I've already finished the book, I went for a look at that youtube video. That has to be one of the wierder things I've ever seen. At 34 I've suddenly realized that I just don't get it anymore.

Ah well, at least CF can help keep the more obvious signs of senility at bay ...
