Re: Airdyne Question

I would look on Ebay. I have the older monitor, but it doesn't work either. I just use my timer on the wall.

Re: Airdyne Question

My monitor doesn't work either...it's digital, but an early one. Looks like the battery contacts are corroded.

Thumbs up Re: Airdyne Question

Cooper & Daniel,
Do you guys want to send me those old, broken monitors? I'll pay for shipping!

Re: Airdyne Question

I was lucky enough to score more ADs, four newer AD4 models to be exact from a gym that upgraded to Assualt Bikes. They said one of the monitors was not working, I put in batteries and voila, working again. One of them actually has a broken piece on it. So it needs repair, one works perfectly fine and the other two just need a little TLC

Not sure if this means selling my existing bike and keeping two of these or not, but I will end up with two of them out of this, maybe more.

Re: Airdyne Question

What's a good price for one of these?

I see a few locally for ~$150.00

They are literally my least favorite piece of equipment in the gym but I know having one at home would be good for me.

I would keep looking till you can get one under $100. I've bought two in the past year, both under $100.

Here in the Seattle area they sell for more like $300-400, even really old ones, but I got my first one for $75 at a garage sale and the other 3 were free (because they were broken). There are great deals out there if you're patient.

I don't know how, actually. I've been able to fix a couple of pretty busted-up bikes, but I haven't had a broken monitor to play with yet.
