Muay Thai Sparring; Dislocated Jaw

OK so I was messing around doing some clinch drills with my buddy at the local muay thai gym, we got a little aggressive and I took a perfect shoulder right on the button of my jaw.

With adrenalin going I didn't feel anything at the time but in the locker room I noticed that my bite was painful and wasn't flush with my molars in the back.

Woke up this morning with less pain but my bite still feels off...

Wondering if this something that goes away or do I really have to go to a Doctor and "reset" this thing...

anyways...no bleeding, no swelling, just painful bite and bite isn't lined up.

Wondering if anybody has any experience with this?

Re: Muay Thai Sparring; Dislocated Jaw

I've never injured my jaw, although I've cracked my shin and had shoulder issues too. Helpful, I know, but my main advice is to go see a doctor and they can assess the degree of injury, and whether it needs further treatment. Last thing you want is jaw problems as a fighter- that'll put your career out, real quick.

Yeah...get it looked at... May be nothing but If it sets wrong you will be in a world of pain years from now and your teeth start grinding down and you need all kinds of dentistry done
