Re: Sharknado

Yeah I'm way out of my league on the nutrition stuff. I haven't read/watched/studied nearly enough on that to be past what I see as common sense...

Yes, but I'm pretty out of date on the subject... need to do more reading to come to my own conclusions. As someone stated, our understanding of nutrition is at such a low level its pretty hard to say anything for certain. There are just too many factors that go into it. Once I read a few more books and studies I'll be more comfortable putting in my full 0.02.

People listen to Taubes and Attia and think they know Physiology well enough to toe up with people who have taken it. Their ignorance shows and I don't even know that much!

Re: Sharknado

I'm pretty sure my knowledge and care of nutrition extends to what they eat during Game of Thrones banquets.

Looks tasty and seems to work, right?

Re: Sharknado

Last day of working out with my bar and bumpers before I ship them off to a good home in East Bay CA.

I had thought about doing "Light Grace" @ 115 ( bar+35's ) but my palm is still bothering me overhead.

Elected to try Max FS with 115, then BS, then RDL. Originally was going to do OHS but again the palm.

Decided to do 3 cleans (floor, knee, hang) before the FS. Probably a mistake. Eeeked out 17 before I dumped it. Got a few BS in on another set before I dumped and 25 RDL's before my grip gave out.

I had such a good vision of like 20-30 OHS, 30-50 FS, 50 + BS after I gave up on Light Grace.

Bah.

Actually sweated a lot more cleaning the kitchen than I did during working out in months. Crazy.

Sorry for your loss.

I can relate to the kitchen thing. I live on the 3rd floor and have to take the stairs every time (no elevator) and those stairs just about kill me sometimes, and have me bending over out of breath.

Re: Sharknado

Got greedy, went for 290x5 and nailed it. Last rep was slow but form was tight! Light weight!

Nice!

This cycle's rep scheme for Wednesday squats is to 3RM, 5@95%, 7@90%, 9@85%, so basically a leg burner - did 122kg (269#) on the set of 3, 256# for 5, 243# for 7 and 229# for 9... all PRs and they were all smooth - probably could go up a little more but I really want to get all my reps in and not miss or stall, which is something I was doing the first few weeks on the team.
