Nailed my first pullup today!

Hello all,

Been CrossFitting for about 7 months now. When I started CrossFitting, I weighed in at sloppy 355 lbs. and doing a pull-up felt like an impossibility. I did my pull-ups with my feet on a bench for about six months. I started doing jumping pull-ups about a month ago. And today, while doing Lynne, and about 50 lbs lighter and feelin' good, I went for it, and nailed it. It was a kipping pull up, but when my chin went over that bar, and it felt AWESOME!! What a milestone it was for me. I really didnt expect this day to come so early. I was thinking I was going to have to lose another 20 or so pounds. Cant' wait to get 5 in a row, then 10, 15, 20 etc etc.

Anyway, just wanted to share this, I was pretty pumped.

P.S. K. Kinney, thanks for getting me started on CrossFit bro, It's changed my life.

3, 2, 1...GO!

Fantastic work. Well done! Just think how strong you are going to be when the rest of your weight comes off.

I started being able to do 1 sad and lonely pullup.
I just did a set of 20, without any specific training for pullup numbers.

Keep at it and your efforts will be rewarded.

Thanks Mike, and what can I say bro, but keep at it man. Just..keep..at..it. It will come, and when it does, you'll be like "Holy crap, did I just do what I think I did." You are already stronger, you've shedded 30 pounds off of that gravitron in 10 days. Thats AWESOME. It will come sooner than you think. Keep it up man.

Re: Nailed my first pullup today!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

When I started crossfit about 4 months ago, I too could not do a single unassisted pullup. Crossfit has increased my fitness dramatically, and there have been other fun milestones, but the first time my chin went over that bar was DEFINITELY the coolest moment of crossfit so far.

Major props to you, and keep it up!
