That sucked. Our egos were bigger than our endurance today. We tried to out sprint eachother on the first leg. My quads haven't hurt like this since I did my olympic tri last year.

Good workout. I love it.

Re: The Chronicles of Brady

Good afternoon!

Well, had family over all weekend, so I couldn't get away to get in the WOD on Sunday. I was on the other side of the metroplex picking up equpment at noon today, so I missed. Back on the wagon tomorrow.

Diet stayed 100% over the weekend, and I resisted some pretty serious temptations. Payed off on the scale, too. Down to 198 this morning after a week on Paleo. I'll definitely take 3 lbs for my first week. Very happy.

So your using paleo to cut rather than build up?

Good work mate, congrats on 3lbs lost.

Re: The Chronicles of Brady

Yep, trying to cut. I'm really wanting to get down to about 170 lbs. Thanks! I'm really enjoying the diet. I'm definitely eating more fruits and veggies than I ever have.

Fight Gone Bad today!!! I'm SO pumped. I love this workout. I think it's my favorite CrossFit WOD.

Re: The Chronicles of Brady

It's days like today that open my eyes as to just how far my fitness has come.

Brady's Fight Gone Bad History"

6/25 - Second CrossFit Workout Ever
Scored a 193.
This was without any points for rowing. I did squat thrusts in place but didn't count them.

9/7
Scored 217.
Also without any points for rowing. Burpees done in place "for free".

11/11 Today

263...
Let me repeat that. 263. That's without any rowing points. We actually ran instead of rowing.

I'm almost without words. I guess that's the great thing about keeping a log. Day to day improvements are so subtle, but when you look back, it really makes you feel bad.

Oh, and I beat Nik by 2 points

Re: The Chronicles of Brady

Did 1-1-1-1-1-1-1 power cleans today.

135, 140, 145, 150, 155, 160, 165

The last 2 were definitely not good. I powered the bar up to my chest, but there was no dipping under it. I think it's a lot of mental stuff for me. I had the same problems with my squat cleans last week. Gotta get over it. I think it's just going to be time and practice.

On a side note, I spent about 4 hours under my car last night doing suspension and differential work. Normally, I'd be frustrated, tired, and fatigued about hours into it. I made it through quite easily. I'm also normally incredibly sore all over, even if I'm doing my normal WODs. I'm only a little sore on my butt from sliding around on the concrete. I'm going to attribute it to Paleo, even though I have no proof. I just know I feel better than ever since switching.
