Yeah, they know about it. I think we've got 3 commited to competing, and one of our trainers, Jason, is volunteering as a judge. I'll get on them to register when I see them next week. Let me know if you need us to bring any equipment.

My band just got booked to play a wedding. Huge payday, so I can't make it. Damn it.

Re: Mid-Atlantic Hopper Challenge

Hey everybody,
There are already over 50 competitors registered for the Mid-Atlantic Hopper Challenge! Sign up now before it's full or you'll have to watch from the sidelines.

Don't forget, proceeds are being donated to Charity, The Send Me Foundation. So not only will this be a great competition to determine the fittest athletes in the Mid-Atlantic region, but you will be doing a charitable thing and supporting those whose dedication and sacrifices made a significant contribution to our nation's security.

Feel free to email me with any questions.

John

John-
How many folks are registered?
Is there a cut-off on the # of people entered and/or date for registration?

Hope all is well over in BWI land.

Sean

Re: Mid-Atlantic Hopper Challenge

I have no clue where to post this, but since it's about this competition I'll post it here. I am entered in this challenge. I was just wondering what I should do as far as training hard and tapering before the competition. I am just doing every main page WOD as hard as I can, and trying to keep my diet as clean as possible. Basically I just don't want to over train, but I want to be able to go as hard as possible before hand.

Just keep doing the main page. Go light on the 8th and 9th, and take the 10th as a rest day. You should be fine.

We have 55 registered so far. We are still trying to maximize participation as much as possible, but the competition is drawing near and we want to make sure we get everything ordered in time. Registration will be closed 10 Sep and payment must be received by 17 Sep. We will work with folks on an individual basis as needed.

There are 8 gyms currently represented and a few garage gym folks. The top three gyms right now are CF BWI, CF Alexandria and CF Fairfax. CF Alexandria is leading the way for total number of participants. Where are CF Baltimore, Extreme Fitness, CF Koncepts, CF Old Town, Ft Meade, Frederick, Potomac CF, Stafford, Pentagon, Capitol Hill? I know there are even more CF gyms out there that I didn't mention. Sign up and represent your gym!
