Mid Year Goals?

There was a thread just over six months ago for people to post their goals for the coming year... but I can't find it.

Either way, I figure this deserves its own thread. Simply post what your goals were/are and whether or not you've reached them or are making progress on them.

I personally... haven't done as well as I'd like to. Nutrition is more dialed in. Fitness is holding steady due to injuries and life issues. Once health is one hundred percent again I should be rollin' again.

Oh, and I got my Level 1 Cert. at the old CFSC (last Cert. there back in February).

Post away. And feel free to post any new goals you've come up with.

At the start of the year, I made goals for myself to reach before July. Here's 'where-I'm-at'/'my-goals' - 'when-I-reached-them'.

Bench Press: 95kg/100kg
Back Squat: 130kg/130kg - 08.02.03
Deadlift: 140kg/160kg

Clean and Jerk: 75kg/75kg - 08.05.25
Snatch: 52,5kg/60kg
Overhead Squat: 60kg/70kg

Cindy: 18 rounds/20 rounds
Fran: 8:25/10:00 - 08.03.19
Helen: 16:35/15:00
Michael: 28:10/30:00 - 08.05.17
Linda: -/01:00:00

I also made a goal of reaching a body weight of 80kg. I dropped that, though, when I realized I performed best at around 70kg, and I'm happy at 69,5kg, right now.

my goals were: 1) front lever 2) straddle planche push up and 3) dunk

my front lever is slightly piked and very hollow, but its coming along nicely. id say i have it, but by gymnastics standards im not even close :lol
straddle planche push up is automatic, but i cant hold the top position at all, so id say i have it, but its not quite up to par.
as for dunking, im so very close. i'm re-prioritizing my goals to make dunking the number one aspiration at the moment, so i think i will have a solid dunk by the end of summer.
the problem with my goals is that they are counter-productive with respect to one another. to dunk i need to gain weight in my lower body and lose weight in my upper body and for the gymnastics strength goals the opposite is true...

Goals/Current Status:

Weights, in order of estimated completion:
CFT 1000 (official, all on same day, etc) - currently 915 (365/145/405) (May 2, need to retest)
DL 500 - currently at 425 (May 7)
Squat 500 - currently at 365 (May 2 - need to retest)
OH Press 200 - currently at 155 (May 31), didn't expect this one to be done by the end of the year, but maybe...


Running:
Sub 8 minute mile - currently at 8:31 (May 30) down from 9:07 around Easter, 10:20 Feb 1, unable to run a complete mile before that.
I think I might actually hit a sub 7:30 by the end of the year...maybe even better if I can zone a little better.

Pullups:
ten deadhang - currently at...2 (May 3, need to retest, been doing jumping pullups almost exclusively)

Bodyweight:
Initially, I wanted to get down to 225. I've finally learned (I think) that I don't care what the scale says, if I can accomplish the other things and feel healthy. Currently at 245.

Not close to any of mine. Well, knee being 'injured' I can't do some of the goals regardless (though I am getting some sprinting in tonight hopefully).

Well, I have half a year left.. heh heh. I at least want to get the 2x bodyweight pullup hopefully at least a couple months before then.

6 minute mile- best so far, 6:29

bodyweight C&J- did it today! 180lbs. I was so pumped up. I clean and jerked for the first time in April, and I've been focusing on it big time. This one meant a lot. Now shooting for 200 this month!

350 lb. deadlift- best so far 315. I'll have it before the month is over.

20 pull ups- not even close. I don't have regular access to a bar on which I can kip. I'm up to 9 dead hang PUs and 11 dead hang chins.

5 minutes Fran- I've only tried once and did it in a little over 14 minutes.

10 minute elizabeth- My first try took 30 minutes. Fran and Elizabeth will be much faster next time, in large part due to constantly improving wrist flexibility.

learn how to snatch- nope, unless you count falling down on 50 percent of any attempt at over 100 lbs. I'll work on support exercizes until I'm more flexible and stable.

I'm still flying high over that C&J. Woohooo!
