Well, I had two buckets sitting around the house; buying two 60# bags of concrete and a 4x4x10 (to cut into about half) was about $15. See this:

Casey.....that's a nice looking squat rack that you have there. Pretty innovative!

Ya, great looking Squat rack!! Just curious as to what that cost you to put it together from start to finish?? I like the look of a wooden one compared to a steel one. I want this garage gym of mine looking as hardcore as possible!!

Re: Home made CF equipment

Great stuff suggested so far.

A trick for filling the medicine balls, though: fill a big (gallon size) ziplock or some other container with sand (I used a ziplock because it was easy, I guess a rigid container could work with a little more thought) and cut a small hole in it. Small as in it lets out slightly more than a trickle of sand (you want a small stream). Suspend it over the funnel. Instant automated filling. HOW you suspend it is up to you. I had a big cabinet in my garage with holes in each of the shelves, so I just wedged the corner of the ziploc with the hole through it with the ball on the shelf below it. I suppose you could also hang it by the opposite corner.

Those plastic 90 degree bend conduits from Home Depot work wonders as rings.

Well I had all the wood left over from an arbor that I built over my patio a few years ago so I had already absorbed that cost. I probably used about 100 ft of 2X6's so whatever that would cost. And then probably about 15 feet of 2X4's. I spent about $65 on everything else like glue, screws and iron pipe.
