Thought CFers would be interested in these two pieces:
For traveling, the TRX System, basically a set of straps (think ring straps) with straight handles that is made to be supported in a door jamb. Not a necessity by any means, it looks like a fun piece to throw in a travel bag though: www.fitnessanywhere.com For putting on the wall of one's gym: http://cgi.ebay.com/MALE-GYMNASTS-GYMNASTICS-PARKING-ROAD-SIGN-SIGNS_W0QQitemZ62 42032516QQcategoryZ73504QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem Note--the seller also has some up for bidding, I got mine for $6.75 + 2.75 shipping. Look in their store for the same thing. I like it in my garage gym as it is one of those "Parking for ... only" signs and it makes me want to live up to the idea that I'm a gymnast in ways. Dr. G |

Now that's somebody with a sense for marketing. Two pieces of PVC and a couple web straps - $130, please. And all the accesories, too. Brilliant! It would be kinda handy, though.

That looks similiar to a product that we offer called the Jungle Gym. I do carry one, but it does tear one up. However, I still stand by the motto that something is better than nothing. |

Karl,
What do you mean by 'it does tear one up'? Dr. G |

I'll stick with my Power Rings. I've lugged them to the other side of the world easily enough, and I've got the old style. Those TRX things look like 1/4 the product for 3X the price. Buckles rated at 400lbs!? Tyler's are rated at 4000!
The jungle gym looks like it'd be nice in a hotel room. |

There has been some recent complaints about Power Rings bruising and/or scraping a person's arms. Honestly, the jungle gym can cut into you doing ring dips, etc.
However, I still would take a workout on that than to go without. And yes, it does work nicely in a hotel room. |
