Re: Camille the newb

Little sore from the 135 DLs.

Rode home last night in about .5 inches of snow. It was nice. Took an hour though!

Morning break-
German Volume Training
Shoulder press, 15lb dumbbells.
10x10 with 1 min rest between. Bit of pain in the front of my shoulders by the end. Had to break up the last 4 reps of so on the last few sets.

Re: Camille the newb

German Volume Pullups-
Used the Monkey Bar Gym Pullup Revolution (which is a band system). Used 3 bands.
10 sets of 10 with one minute break in between. Some of the last reps required a little rest to get them out.

One hour BJJ class and accompanying warmup.

Lots of stress right now in case I didn't mention as with the new politicians in office, they are "restructuring/eliminating" the agency I work for. No details about what may happen to our jobs.

Sleep is pretty poor-Kelly has been injured pretty badly for over two months. She can't sleep, I can't sleep. Lack of sleep and stress is making me very irritable.

Despite that, I seem to be putting on some muscle and am not sure why. I've been doing a low carb thing and my appetite is suffering. I've started back on raw milk and colostrum though, so that may be the cause.

Re: Camille the newb

2 hour judo class on Saturday morning.

At least 2 hrs of riding at Ray's Indoor Mountain Bike Park on Sunday.

Afternoon break-
a few sets of 10 each side of the Uchi Komi (fit in) drills for judo, with a cable. Trying to cement in getting a continuous pull so I don't stop pulling my opponent off balance halfway through a throw.

Re: Camille the newb

1.5 hr BJJ class last night. About 20 mins warmup/workout and a good 30 mins of rolling with breaks only to switch partners. I got my *** handed to me by a very nice young guy who wasn't even using his arms for the sparring.

Tonight's work:
AMRAP 15 mins
Row 250m
15 pushups (scaled from MP's 25 pushups)
6 rounds+200m.

Trap bar deadlifts later.

Re: Camille the newb

German Volume Training
10x10 sets of trap bar deadlifts with 135 on the bar, one minute rest between sets.

Sweaty like crazy now. That was 100 reps. I can do math.

Re: Camille the newb

German Volume Training-

Shoulder press with 15lb dumbbells. Not a problem today. WEird.
10 sets of 10, 1 min rest between each.

Pullups- Using Monkey Bar Gym Pullup Revolution, 3 bands and adjusted pretty tight.
4 sets of 10, then had to drop down to 7, then 6 for the remaining sets with 1:30 rest between sets.

Judo tonight. There was another hour long ice bike ride in there last week somewhere, plus judo on saturday morning and 1.5 hour aikido class.

Re: Camille the newb

Yeah it wasn't so bad doing a wod!

Yep, still riding the bike. It was 16 degrees for last night's ride, which took about 46 minutes. It gets so cold my phone's touchscreen won't work. Tomorrow should be ride 2 for the week, but the predicted high is 4-7 degrees. I'm not sure I even know what that feels like!

The week's work:
Judo Monday night.
BJJ Tuesday night.
Bike ride last night.
German Volume training tonight-
10x10 at 135. 135 isn't too bad, but I do need to catch my breath sometimes. Sometimes it's better to just blast through without catching it. Made it through more reps and sets this time without breaking. May be time to add a little weight.

Nik- this is a trap bar- (WFS) http://trainathomeguru.com/wp-conten...TrapBar-EN.jpg

It makes the lift more between a squat and a deadlift...
It's new to me. Trying to change things up a bit.
