Nick, thanks! "ChuckFit" Day 1 and 2 Yesterday was the first official day of "ChuckFit" and my efforts to get stronger and hopefully acquire some gymnastics skills I haven't really ever concentrated on (muscle-ups and HSPUs). Day 1: Pre-class workout Full clean and jerks Worked up to a heavy single of 125. Not a max just making sure I don't lose any ground here. Pretty pleased with 125. I know that ties an old PR and went up pretty easily. Bench press 100x3,3,3,4 After class workout: Tabata pushups 15,8,4,3,3,4,4,4= 45 Tabata Pullups 10,9,10,6,6,4,6,4= 55 Day 2 Day 2 Snatch Really getting sore and tight in my chest and shoulders from yesterdays tabata work so I stayed light Singles at 65 working on technique Dynamic Effort Squats 135x2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2 Went really low in the last half of the sets. We're hoping this will help with squat cleans, snatches, front squats etc. and of course making my back squat stronger (duh). Tabata Squats: 18,18,18,16,17,14,15,15=131 Tabata butterfly, abmat, unachored situps: 13,14,14,15,14,13,13,14=110 Cheat meal goodness! Good for strength gains AND fat loss. :-) [ATTACH] |

Holy moly! It's been a while since I posted. I've been busy but really productive! I graduated this past month from graduate school and will officially be a Nurse Practitioner as soon as I take the certification test. I also got engaged to fellow Cfer and used-to-be-frquent-cfboard-poster Charles Bennington. AND I lost about 20 lbs since this time last year so..s I guess you could say 2010 was a good year.
Lately, I'm following the mainsite and doing extra stuff as well. That's what's worked for me so that's what I'm sticking with. Today's wod was yesterday's mainsite wod: 3 rounds: 400 meter run 30 ohs (45lbs) 21 pullups 14:25 Eh... I could've probably gone faster but that leaves room for improvement I guess. Also 45 minutes on the steps to no where this morning. |
