Yes, that's true, but i'm not the only test subject. plenty of others are willing who don't have hormones raging.
so heck, why not do it myself. It's Ice cream! as i said before, this isn't meant to spark any kind of controversy like many of the threads have. it's purely for fun that i'm posting it here. But thanks for pointing it out. I'll keep that in mind And plus, it's only a short term experiment that might not even work. So i'm looking for pretty significant changes that are clearly a result of the ice cream. |

I know my body pretty well, so I think I can tell if something is different in such a short period of time like two weeks. Granted it may be some growth spurt, but still...
And if the results are not easily quantifiable due to my age, it's OK. I repeat this is FOR FUN. I can just use my other testers. |

For verification of this diet I am doing on a pattern of 2 on, 2 off, 2 on, 1 off. I just started this week and will tell you when I see results. I am not on any zone or paleo diets

A few problems: 1) Your diet isn't dialed in, so there's no way to know if any changes (good or bad) are a result of the ice cream or something else. 2) You haven't been CrossFitting long enough to know what kind of gains you typically see, or how you feel over the long run. 3) It looks like you've got some belly fat. This is generally a good indicator of increased insulin resistance. The ice cream thing is great when you're leaner and less insulin resistant. Right now, I think it will go completely against your goals and will slow your progress. Lastly, stop looking for the magic bullet...you've already found it! Do CrossFit and eat right (Paleo, Zone, or Paleo/Zone). That's it! When that stops working, THEN start playing with other stuff like Breyers, CFFB, custom WODs, etc... I know I'm coming off like an ***hole. It's GREAT that you're reading and doing research, and that shouldn't stop. But that doesn't change the fact that you simply need the basics right now. BTW, speaking of reading and research, have you picked up your CrossFit Journal subscription (W/F/S) yet? - Alex |
