Yes. As usual, the Northeast is just a few steps ahead of the rest of the country. At least as trans fats are concerned.

All's I can say is...

http://www.amazon.com/Atlas-Shrugged.../dp/0451191145 (w/f safe)

If you haven't read this, read it. If you hate reading, just read the first third of the book.

There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.

Hilarious, but you might want to put quotes around that; I've seen it before other places...

Give me a source to cite, and I'll do it (other than a blog, where I go when I need to wording. Citing to a blog comment is like masturbation).

Re: Trans Fat illegal in CA.

Almost funny. Almost. Well actually it kinda is, the characters in the book are definitely "unique", but you gotta love the government leech guy named "Mouch" (mooch, get it?)

Unfortunately...true. But on a good note, lard is not a trans fat so at least my favorite Mexican food place will still be able to cook everything in lard - Which is why everything tastes so good there.

Had a recipe for carnitas, back in the day.
If I recall correctly - for every 5 lbs of pork I think it also called for 1 lb of lard. The funny part is that next to lard it said "NO SUBSTITUTIONS!"
