Tool for CrossFit data collection - logsitall.com

Bill Patton has graciously gotten (wfs) http://logsitall.com/login.asp up and running with much of the CrossFit information.

This project is a way to rank and file with data from people (rather then just a workout log) in the CrossFit community much like the Concept 2 website does with rowing data, but in this case the named WODs are the data points along with the CrossFit Total as well as almost everything under the sun, like max number of pull-ups, push-ups, sit-ups, dips, you name it, Bill will put it in there. We've been emailing all morning about different things and it is getting there.

I'd like us to support all his hard work and people to sign up and start putting information in so that it can collect all the data and we can get some real findings on the effect of CrossFit on those using it.

And to Bill, thanks for your hard work!

No joke about the props to Bill; if you've never developed a purpose-built web program for practical, public use, I promise it's not a minor amount of work. Still in development, but looks to be a great tool and we're getting it for free.

thanks for the props! i'm definitely a hack when it comes to writing code - but i know enough to know that i never get anything right the first time - i tried to make the log flexible enough to handle anything we can throw at it - once we get the data collection part right, i'll add other stuff like:
-summary view (view all your activities on one page)
-community stats
-community ranking...

Would a pre and post-WOD heartrate be good data points?

So few people take it, George... or want to, considering how busy you are post-workout. (You know, panting, crying, etc...)

What rolls down stairs?
Alone or in pairs?
What rolls down your neighbor's dog?
What's great for a snack?
And fits on your back?
It's Log, Log, Log!

It's Looo-og, it's Looo-og,
It's big, it's heavy, it's wood.
It's Looo-og, it's Looo-og,
It's better than bad, it's good!
Everyone wants a log!
You're gonna love it, Log!
Come on and get your log!
Everyone needs a Log!

How about adding the following exercises to the Crossfit Load section?

*Pendlay Row
Snatch
Clean & Jerk
*Standing Press (Military Press)
Overhead Squat

*Exercises from Coach Rippetoe’s books Starting Strength and Practical Programming
