Can't figure out how to edit my post. I actually fixed it last night - sent a PM to Cooper in case he has the same issue.

Battery contacts inside the battery cover and inside the monitor were corroded due to batteries being left in there too long. I took thin pieces of tin foil and wrapped it around the contacts in both spots. Boom. Fired right up. I was using AA batteries with spacers, going to pick up some true C batteries today.

Thank You, I'm going to try this later today and let you know the results.

Update:

It worked! I added foil at all the receptors and pulled them out so they're in contact with the units receptors. Thanks Daniel!
