Affiliation error!

I just got word from HQ that my application for affiliation has been "deferred" because I do not have a Crossfit Level 1 certification.

That's fine except for one thing... I do have my Level 1 cert (from august of 09) and I took and passed the test when they started offering that. I also hold several other certs.

Has anyone else had this problem? Was it resolved quickly? There are a number of things I'm having to hold back on like registering my website and signing a lease I don't want to start on until I get approval. If this has happened to anyone else how long did it take to get sorted out?

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but...

jesse, if you attended your level 1 in 2009 then you did not take the test they instated in 2010. Every trainer, regardless of when you attended the seminar, was mandated to come in and test. I believe this was free at the time and you had a year to do so. If you attended in 2009 but never took the test you may have an "invalid" cert. If this does not apply to you then I don't know, but I would look into this.

Kyle, Jesse's statement would lead me to believe that he took and passed the test. I think it was in the part where he said:

You may have to contact the Cert. people (who are different from the Affiliate people) at HQ to get it sorted out. When I dealt with them in the past they were friendly and fairly quick to straighten out my problem.

Thanks everyone, I'll contact the certification people. To clear things up, I took the cert in 09' and I went back and passed the test in 11'
I did send a copy of my proof of passing the test to the affiliate peeps so we'll see what happens.

I have a question. Sorry to thread jack but you guys seem to know what you're talking about. I just signed up for level 1 on Nov 23rd and want to affiliate as soon as possible. I have to wait for the cert or can I get the ball rolling before. I think I have to wait based on what I saw but I'm not too sure.

It's my understanding that you have to have received notification that you have passed your test before they will work on your affiliate application.

Update, HQ was on top of things and sorted it all out quickly. Very professional, thanks guys! All of my names have been rejected though so I'm working on that!
