Crazy snatch fail.....245#

245 snatch fail (not WFS - dropped the f-bomb)

Would have been a 5# PR......obviously no good by olympic lifting regulations.
First time I have successfully gotten under and locked out 245.
Watched people do this and wondered how the hell they don't just bail right away.....surprisingly felt in control the whole way through until I had to let go.

I love that you thought about standing it up. Can't believe you kept your midline stability on your knees. Badass!!

Awesome video dude.

Have been in that exact same position before, and like you there was no way that I wasn't going to try and stand up with the weight.

Re: Crazy snatch fail.....245#

Gutsy effort. Best to just let those go forward or back to avoid potential injury. Plenty of strength there. Just a matter of time. Keep up the good work.

Looked as though you didn't get your hips through at or near the top to get full extension. Can't teally tell from this angle, but my guess is the bar brushed your thighs instead of the crease of your hip - which would cause the bar to be forward when you receive it.

I do the exact same thing with near limit weights. Just a matter of time. My guess is that if you pulled this off tall blocks you could get it because your timing on the crease of hip/brush versus the thigh brush would be better. I say that because you're plenty quick under the bar.

Good luck.

All the best,
Arden

I gotta say, a lotta fight on that one!

But, your hips were way too high when the bar left the ground, and, if you pause the video on the way up, it looks like your back is not in full extension. Those are two things that both make it more likely for you to be forward at the end, and yep, you were too far forward. I'd bet with a litle more care on how you set up, you can do maybe 15lbs more than this very quickly.
