Re: What Do (Or Would) You Drive?

I used to have a 350Z, but sold it. A friend of ours (my wife and I) made a comment on facebook about how his wife is out of town so he gets to drive the (370)Z for a couple days. I said "lucky you. I miss my Z so much." My wife's reply to that?

"Well, you could get that for your drive to work car (I hardly ever drive, mostly ride my bike) and our 'date night' car."

I really married the perfect woman. Got some car shopping to do while I'm home on leave.

The point is not so much to drive fuel efficieny but to drive people back into the cities. The reason public transport doesn't work in most place is that people work 20 miles from where they work and where they work isn't near anything.
So it is of your opinion that people should live bunched up in the city? No thanks, the burbs is as close as I get to any city. My next home will be much farther away from the burbs and closer to nature but it sounds you wouldn't want me to do that, at least not if you can help it.

Lan,

The more people that move to the burbs, the less nature there is. THe further you live from work and services the more you have to drive, the farther goods need to shipped etc which all increase energy expenditure.

You can live where you want, but you have to bare the costs of doing so.

The costs of living where you want to shouldn't be determined by a bureaucrat but by a free market enterprise system. Also we were meant to live in harmony and within nature.

That's the last I'll deviate from the OP.

New guy here! 2007 Mazdaspeed 3 Here. Cosmic Blue. Good taste right Nicole?

Normally I wouldn't have posted in a thread like this, but there are some pretty sick rides here. Plus I need somewhere to live vicariously after I just sold my 2001 Vette Z06. Damn I miss the neck breaking torque.
