Welcome aboard Billy! Man getting older sucks doesnt it? I'm over 40 myself with a history of lifting, let myself go and and now getting back into it. Im new here as well, 6 weeks into xfit myself and loving it.

Im doing xfit 3x week now, will move to 4x week after I get 8 weeks in under my belt.

I cleaned my diet up last fall. Not strict zone but for about 4 months I weighed everything and counted cals to see where I was and how it affected me, dropping processed foods and sugars and dropped 30lbs. My weight stayed constant for a couple months before joining a local box. Since joining xfit Ive gained 5 lbs in the last 6 weeks BUT I am also noticeably leaner.

Moral of the story, dont fret too much over what the scale says, its just one small piece of the puzzle.

Probably not. I don't know if you have tried GHD situps, but that is a movement that you REALLY need to ease into. Also, jumping pullups, thrusters, and kettlebell swings can lead to rhabdo if over done. Err on the side of caution, always.

Read this:http://board.crossfit.com/showthread.php?t=38220 WFS, and make sure you're trainer is adhering to the points made in the post.

No GHD's, no jumping pull ups...LOTS of kettle bells....

I'm feeling good.

Squats. I almost got to that point after a serious set of squats my first week.

I really don't see a problem with following WW while CFing. Just use your points (calories) on Zone friendly foods (lean meat, veggies, nuts and a little fruit) and not 100 calorie packs and frozen dinners.
