Re: What's your "Go To" workout?

I do fifty tire flips for time with this big ol' tire by where I work out at to see what kind of shape I'm in.

Re: What's your "Go To" workout?

Been CrossFitting for a little more than 2 months now and don't really have much experience with the fun Olympic lifts nor the equipment to do it myself yet (though I'm highly considering buying some soon), so if I want to go do a WOD by myself I head out to the local HS track and do something like

5 rounds
100 m sprint
15 pushups
20 air squats
minute rest in between sets

Lots of flexibility with that, sometimes can extend the run to a 200, or do burpee broad jumps to combine the pushups and squats. Whatever I feel like.

"Helen" if I want to test a Bench Mark (I suck at running, and really suck at PUSHING myself to run faster).

If I don't want to do that - I usually do 5 RFT of:
3 x 155# Squat-Clean-Thrusters
7 x CTB Pull-ups
12 x 70# KB Swings

Re: What's your "Go To" workout?

Two "extra credit" WODs I enjoy are structured as:

5 to 7 Rounds for time of
Double under
Heavy deadlift
200m run

or

5-7 Rounds for time of
Double under
Heavy deadlift

Simple and easy to vary. Usually I'll choose a weight I can deadlift for 3-7 reps and 15-30 double unders. I use the second workout as both deadlift and double under practice, so dropping the bar is not allowed or you start the set over, and missing a double under means starting over as well.

I was just wondering if anyone here does the same, and what their "go to" was.

Burpees and KB's

Second the burpees and kettlebells. I do different EMOM rep schemes with these two and it's always a burner.

5 rounds for time:
5 power cleans @185
30 Double Unders

cutoff time of 15 minutes.

Was theirs power cleans or power clean and jerks?

Isabel. All day, every day. Or at least until I need rotator cuff surgery.
(Disclaimer: I do not actually do Isabel all day, every day)
