I hate vegetables. Plain and simple........However I know I need to eat a decent amount. Any ideas on how I can get more vegetables in my diet?

I have found that cooking my vegetables with my meat makes them way more enjoyable because the meat fat and flavor gets on them.
Hope that helps |

Look into whole food supplimentation that put vegetable nutrients into a capsule. I personally take JuicePlus+ because it has Gold standard research proving it works in the body, and not all the nutrients have died off in the process of making them. There are other brands out there though, Greens+ i know have research as well, but i don't think they come in capsules which concerns me a bit (i could be wrong) as when the nutrients hit oxygen (when the container is opened) some of them will start to die off.. just like a cut apple will start to go brown.. that and you'll have to taste the vegetable powder which may not be to your tastebuds.

The sickest people I see at my office hate vegetables as a general rule...plain and simple.
I'd suggest you start "training" your tastebuds, along with doing the WOD.:080402gudl_prv: |

Try cooking them in olive oil. Experiment with different spices. Covering the flavor of some vegetables in something like a tomato sauce is also an option.

if you have a whole foods near you they have some decent veggie packages. use olive oil, garlic salt.
if you still can't stand it. you might as well just try using a little bit of cheese on the veggies. better to sacrifice with a little cheese than not eat any at all and end up replacing them with something worse. |

Steam them and put some garlic salt in the water, then sprinkle on cajun seasoning when they are done. I've gone from a vegetable hater to a vegetable lover with this method.

I hate to advocate sodium poisoning, but with enough salt (garlic salt is nice) anything tastes pretty good. Fry in oil.

Make vegetable soup, chop them up small and put in stews, chilis, curries and ragu's. As other's have posted flavour them. How they are cooked makes all the difference. Buy a good vegetarian cook book. Then have your meat on the side.
Before even considering supplements get your diet right first. (Message edited by gerrudd on April 12, 2007) |
