Modify it to start. Find an affiliate near you, that way you'll be under the watchful eye of a qualified trainer and they will track your progress. Good Luck and stick with it, It will change your life.

Re: Is Crossfit for me?

Bro, I have to tell you... I know where you are coming from 100%. In my family, we have tons of health problems, from cancer, heart attack, diabetes, stroke, etc, etc. I have had a passion for working out for as long as I can remember. I got into CF Feb of this year and have not been the same. I have a sister that is overweight and I would tell her that "I needed her to get serious about working out!" I told her about CF and she said "Oh HE11 NO!". This pass Sep I pulled out for a cruise (NAVY) and I got her into it. Since Sep 8, she has really gone to town. She Paleos', is now getting numbers on the board, lost 8" around her mid section and is so much better shape than ever and is still going. Take it slow and let CF slowly take effect. It will change your life like so many of us on here! Plus I pay for her membership so she has to go...LOL. NOW THATíS LOVE!

Yes. Don't come into it hoping for a quick fix though. Crossfit is by definition difficult; you will be pushed.

Stick with it and you will be glad you did.

Re: Is Crossfit for me?

Just started about 5 weeks ago at 5'7" 246, down from my high of 285.
I dont know how much I lost in the last 5 weeks because I only get on the scale once every 2 months but I can tell you that my clothes fit better, I have more energy and while I still have a loooooonnnggg way to go, I can do things now that I couldnt do 5 weeks ago.
I go to a box and they scale everything and the atomosphere is very supportive. I say just dive right in, its tough but a lot of fun.
