Re: Feedback on Crossfit/Wendler Hybrid

The thing for me about Wendler is: 5x3=15 and 5x5= 25 reps
It's not much. And they don't tell to warm up with a few sets. If you just do 15 or even 25 of anything you won't build strength....

You need to recruit muscle fiber first and then put it to good use.

Is this serious? None of that is actually true.

Not a shred of truth. From Wendler's book:
"Warming up prior to training is important. I usually recommend the following:
 1x5 @ 40%
 1x5 @ 50%
 1x3 @ 60%"

Negative.....By my calculation I did 80 reps of squat @ 50% or more of my training 1RM. It was put to very good use. You can make this program as punishing as you want, or as lame as you want. Your call, but it will yield results regardless.

Did my Squat today with BBB

Example of today.

Warmup
5x150
5x185
3x220

5/3/1 Sets
5x240
5x275
5+ x 315 (got 7)

Assistance Work
5x10 Backsquat/Frontsquat @ 135
