Go buy the book Starting Strength by Mark Rippetoe. Read it, love it, live it. When you're really big and strong, come back to us ready to start tearing up.

Chris,

It would help if you could tell us a little more about yourself. How tall are you now, and how much do you weigh? How long have you been training? What do some of your lift #s look like? What do you eat? Stuff like that.

So then Troy is pretty much on the mark here.

Get the Starting Strength book and go to Rip's website if you need more info on the program. If you do not know how to squat and deadlift, find a good coach.

Also, invest in a pair of rings and learn some basic gymnastics.

Eat a lot and have fun!

Re: Im 14 and Want to get bigger

Toss the p90x stuff and do the Starting Strength stuff as stated above.... Be sure you have a good coach to monitor your form also..

Gallon of milk a day will help.... I graduated H.S. 10 years ago a 6'1 130... I am now 6'1 210... Hard work and a good diet with quality cal's will should beef you up...

Keep us posted...

Re: Im 14 and Want to get bigger

Starting strength isn't just for trainers. If there was ever a person who could benefit more than you from Starting strength than you, I have never met them.

A far as diet goes, eat meat ( alot of it, no, ALOT, like 3 times as much as you do now), a gallon of whole milk a day ( take 2 weeks to build up to this) and the rest should be as many vegies and sweet potatoes as you can stand.

"Be sure you have a good coach to monitor your form also.." THis is ideal but no necessary. Read the book, lift, than read the book again. Repeat about a dozen times (I'm not exagerating). THen get video of your lifts and submit them either here or Rip's board at www.startinstrength.com (mostly wfs).
