Lindsey,
my girlfriend started a fairly strict Paleo diet around August.
Breakfast eggs,spinach, almonds or avacodo
lunch chicken breast, spinach, almonds
dinner chicken or fish, spinach, almonds
pwo scoop of whey
she does eat some clemintines and mixes in brocoli
I would say she is 90% clean.

She weighed 148lbs in August and was a size 8-10. She now weighs 136lbs and is a size 4. I think adding lean muscle was helpful for her. She had moved up to a 200lb deadlift, bw bench, and bw squat. She is making strides in strength but she is fairly new at the strength stuff.

Lindsay,

This wasn't on a strict paleo diet or The Zone but I did count calories and grams of macronutrients the whole time and it seemed to work pretty well.

Um. I have some before and afters from a 60-day challenge we just wrapped up at Halloween... Not the greatest example, maybe, but I was pretty happy.

It took me about 3 weeks into it to get really strict with my eating. By the end, I was down about 14lbs (174-ish to hovering 'round 160), but had also dropped inches and another size. Performance improved across the board, both in lifts and in metcon (which has been a bear for me). Lots of PR's tucked in that time period. This was about 4-5 months after I started CF'ing, so I'd already made a lot of 'beginner' gains just from getting used to the movements. Going Paleo and hitting the WOD's hard kicked my body back into high gear.

There's a woman that goes to the same affiliate I go to, Crossfit Central, (wfs) that did 1.5 months strict paleo and crossfit. Check out the blog post with before/after photos her coach posted. Amazing!

Thank you everyone for the stories and the pics. It is very motivating....when I said results not numbers...what I mean is that I just want to like the way my body looks. If I love the way it looks, I don't care about the number on the scale. I would rather have a healthy, athletic body and weigh a little more than a frale skinny body that weighs 105lbs or whatever. I used to only care about the number on the scale if that clears it up for you!

Again, focus on performance and the appearance will come. Athletes look good and they don't train for appearance at all.

These are results my wife had doing CF from Jan 09 to Aug 09. The last 2 months was Paleo diet. Good Luck
