Without Further Ado...Renee's Testimonal!!11!eleventy!1!

And now, the long awaited testimonial of me:

After i graduated high school in 2004, my mother asked me to try out for a reality TV show with her. I was 240lbs, she was 220 and couldn't swim. I pointed all this out to her and she was like, "fine, we'll lose the weight." We joined a gym (doing it the "inefficient" way), totally overhauled the diet, and she lost 50lbs while i lost 60. Here i was in May 2004 on my way to the prom:

(you know, looking back, i really can't believe i was this ginormous...it's ridiculous)

Anyway I plateaued hard after i got to 180, presumably because i'd gotten "fit" enough that my inefficient method of working out just wasn't going to cut it any more. Over the next three years, even though i was still working out for hours in the gym, i slowly gained ~20lbs back. I hit the gym this last summer with renewed fervor and went from 208 in Jan '08 to 200 in late August. Here's me Summer '08:

I started CrossFit September 15th with "The Chief" (which totally sucked btw...), and since then I've lost about 25 lbs. I weigh 177 right now, which is the least I've weighed since about 5th grade. Maybe even 4th. Unclear. Here are a few pics of me now:

(ps, this is the same bathing suit as the summer '08 picture. sorry it's dark...flashes don't work in mirror pics)

Links removed

I've still got a ways to go...but i look better, i feel better, and i've never been as motivated or feel as accomplished as i do when i'm laying on the floor, leaving a sweat angel after a killer WOD. yay!

Nice job!

Are you training at CF Boston with Neal, Jon, EC, James, etc.? (If not you should be, they are awesome!)

Nice job, keep up the hard work. How's your mom coming along?

By the the way, how have your lifts improved?
